If it becomes necessary not to open school because of the weather or any other emergency, the district will utilize the School Messenger system. This system will provide parents and staff with an automated call with closing, delayed opening or early dismissal information. Also, WGHT (1500AM) and Channel 12 TV will announce local school closings beginning at 5:30AM. Closings will also be posted on the internet at:

The starting times for school on a delayed opening day are the following:

• Pompton Lakes Day Care: 8:30 AM

• High School and Lakeside Middle School: 9:45 AM

• Lenox and Lincoln Elementary School: 10:00 AM

*On Delayed Opening Days, There is No Breakfast Program
