Welcome to the Pompton Lakes School District. Our district has a proud tradition of providing a high-quality learning experience for all of our students in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Pompton Lakes schools serve over 1700 students in grades K-12. We have two elementary schools, a middle and a high school. Pompton Lakes enjoys a sending-receiving relationship with the borough of Riverdale; these students attend Pompton Lakes High School.

The mission of our district is to provide a challenging and viable curriculum for all students. We also believe in the importance of each and every student is known, cared for, and recognized for their own individual talents and abilities.

Our teachers and school leaders go above and beyond to forge positive relationships with students and employ effective instructional strategies to help them achieve. To complement our academic program, we offer an extensive array of extra-curricular activities at all levels. We believe these programs develop essential skills and foster a strong connection to the school district.

The Pompton Lakes School District also believes strongly in the concept of continuous improvement. Our commitment to exploring new and better ways to help students learn and grow is a driving force within our district.
